Blackboots Twin Ports started in 2022 as a small group brought together by a kind man named Robert Hall.

The first event was 3 people. Robert, Billy (Robert’s husband), and Elijah Jensen hanging out and playing pool at the Main Club in Superior, WI while wearing singlets.

From that moment on Robert had the goal of making a welcoming space where persons of all backgrounds and identities could feel welcome. It was a warm gathering without pressure.

Unfortunately Robert was lost to us in may of 2023. From an ending however came a new beginning. He’d brought so many together in the Twin Ports community that others were inspired to take up the efforts. From that the current iteration of the group was born.

Now we celebrate his legacy at our home bar The Main in Superior WI, with monthly events, and an annual cigar smoke lounge, all with the same goal of making sure everyone is welcome to participate.
