Leather has always been a second skin, an armor against the outer world. My title is all about bringing visibility to the pet/pup community. Wearing my hood on a Tuesday, not only on the gear nights. Always keeping with the mentality of “if you build it, they will come.

I am always trying to remember, “Pet first” or for me, “Pup first, Always Puppy” a mantra I use to remind myself of headspace and pet space. I also want everyone to note that it’s not about the gear you own, but the spirit in which you carry yourself, thats what makes you a great candidate for the leather vanguard.

Pup Sparky is a founding member of Blackboots Twin Ports, and is the inaugural Pet title winner for 2023/24. This fun loving Pup can be found in the wilds of Lester River hiking around, looking for buried bones. Or singing his silly heart out during BBTP Kinky Karaoke Takeover nights at the Superior Flame. He spreads his message of love, acceptance, and visibility everywhere he goes. It’s not about your gear, but your spirit within.

Freddie has been a member of Black Boots since moving to Duluth in early 2024. They have a background in teaching and believe that education can be used to combat shame and stigma. They have plans to assist with community education and bring drag, kink, and health education to underrepresented groups. Freddie regularly joins Seven Seeds LLC’s outdoor adventures and performs with Gender Blend as drag king Jack Daniels.

Tabi is a local drag performer and freaky little goblin running amok about town. She’s been leading the charge in Blackboots collaboration with Gender Blend, bringing kink friendly drag shows to The Main Club since February of 2025. You’ll find her at most Blackboots events either in girl mode, or as the much bolder and more interesting Daddy Whorebucks.

Riley is a proud and active member of the local leather and fetish community. He is dedicated to fostering connection, education, and empowerment within these spaces. Through his leadership and involvement Riley promotes a culture of mutual respect, consent, and care; values that extend into their passion for improving community health and access to harm reduction resources. Whether through organizing, outreach, or advocacy, Riley strives to strengthen the bonds within leather, fetish, and LGBTQ+ community. He champions wellness, inclusion, and authenticity for all.
